I truly am not a Gleek!!
I am not part of any Glee club and I do not burst out into song at any given chance.

I just like Puck! He is too damn fine to not watch every week :D
Seriously though, I do love the musical numbers on the TV show. I ♥ all music and Glee showcases some of the very best across a range of genres, I can not complain about that, I enjoy it all. Now you can not forgot the addictive happy feeling you get watching the show in all it's cutsy glory. I especially love the beginning of each episode with the really fast voice over recapping the previous episode that ends with the high pitch GLEE! Loves it :)
Ok, I just looked up the definition of Gleek on Urban Dictionary: "Anyone who is obsessed with the television show Glee may call themselves a "Gleek". I'm pretty sure I am not that obsessed with the show, as Trekkies are obsessed with Star Trek. Phew! I just love the show and it's one I would hate to miss.
Hmm maybe I am a Gleek or maybe I am not!
I hope this next piece of news does not seal my Gleek fate any further.
Thursday night I attended a performing arts show, here in Wellington, that is inspired by the TV show Glee.
Here is the scoop on the show:
If you like the songs and spectacle of the popular TV series glee, you are going to love the gleevent. This show is a high energy celebration of music and dance from the producers of Miss Saigon, Cats and High School Musical. The show features an exciting range of songs and includes something for everyone in the family. Witness some of your all-time favourite songs by Madonna, Adam Lambert, Queen, Neil Diamond, Lady Gaga and many more live on stage in the gleevent.
Breathtaking music, song and choreography combine to form this spectacular concert experience featuring dynamic staging, incredible lighting and superb technical effects, all while showcasing some of New Zealand’s most talented young performers.
Four of us girls went out to dinner first, had a glass of wine and we were off to the event. Applause to the stand out peformers on the evening that had AMAZING voices. It was also great to see a variety of young performers in true Glee fashion anyone was invited to join the cast.
Now to put my spin on the evening, here is what you missed...lots of ballet, hip hop, contemporary dancing, lots of costume changes, really bright lights, flashing hanging lights, hanging television screens, a pink vespa, some great acting and lots of Gleeful musical numbers...that's what you missed on GLEEvent!
YEAH season 2 is back on the air...I am thanking the internet gods in releasing free access of said episodes, I thought I would report on some of the coming up clips in the show. Here is a sneak peak preview that has been released on the Britney / Brittany episode:
It is great to see how well they have redone the Britney number. Brittany dons the exact same attire, as does Santana...she even has a cane! After seeing this, I really can not wait for the episode to be uploaded on Wednesday, our time, so I can stream it!!
I think I promised I was going to talk about some more fashions...whoops! It would be good of me too, since we just wrapped up the NZ Fashion Week. I will post some updates on how that went shortly!
